It is time to face our future and build for the future.

For too long, the story about Yellowstone County has been too small — a story about division, decline, and “we can’t afford that” and “that won’t work here.” But that’s not who we are.

We are builders. Fixers. Neighbors who show up. People who solve problems the Montana way: practical, local, and with dignity.

It’s time for a new narrative — one that reflects the real strength of the people who live here.

Why change the narrative?

Because the old story isn’t working.

Fear, division, and negative thinking shrink our possibilities. They keep us stuck reacting instead of building.

Because people deserve respect.

Every resident should be heard, treated with dignity, and included in decisions that affect their lives.

Because Yellowstone County needs a future story, not a fight story.

We can focus on what works: transparency, responsibility, and real results for real people.

A better story for Yellowstone County

Here’s the story we can build together:

Yellowstone County is a place where people take responsibility, treat each other with respect, and get results.
We solve problems by rolling up our sleeves, working together, and focusing on what matters. We need to disagree better.

This isn’t politics. It’s community.

What this looks like in action

You can already see this new narrative taking shape in the work people are doing across the county:

This campaign is built the same way — open, local, and focused on real results.

Join the effort

Changing the narrative takes all of us. If you want a county government that listens, respects, and delivers, there’s a place for you here.

Be a part of the campaign

Along with all the usual campaign activities, phone banks, door knocking, yard signs, meet and greets, and a BBQ or two, we need content creators, curators, and editors. We want our message to break through in social media here in Yellowstone County. No previous experience required. A part of our commitment is to help our community learn how to use digital tools for good.

So, first step. Subscribe to our newsletter. We are currently limiting to email, but a texting tool is coming.
